Biography

PERSONAL: Whiting hails from Cambridge, UK where she rowed with Rob Roy Boat Club. She placed second at the British Rowing Championship. She also finished second in the British Junior Sculling Regatta in 2024 and placed third in the same event in 2025.
 
FROM THE COACH: "Number one for Martha is she knows how to work hard in and out of the boat," said head coach Chase Graham. "She loves to race with her teammates and is not afraid to speak up when it can benefit the group around her."
 
CHOOSING SMU: She is most excited about getting to train everyday with other people passionate about rowing.
