Biography

PERSONAL: Willoughby hails from Knoxville, Tennesse where she rowed with Atomic Rowing Club. Some of her rowing accomplishments including racing at Canadian Henley. She qualified for nationals her junior year. She placed seventh in the Youth 2x at Head of the Hooch.
 
FROM THE COACH: "Penny is bright, even-keeled, loves to grind, and a team player," said head coach Chase Graham. "Excited to have her join us on the Hilltop this fall!"
 
CHOOSING SMU: Willoughby is most excited about joining a bigger rowing team as she came from a smaller program. In addition, she is inspired by the team culture at SMU and can't wait to be a part of it.
