SMU Athletics

PERSONAL: Bittner hails from Wilton, Connecticut where she rowed with Row America Rye. She raced at the Head of the Charles once as a rower and twice as a coxswain. She double raced at Youth Nationals as a rower and a coxswain. Bittner placed first at the San Diego Crew Classic in her first year of rowing.

FROM THE COACH: "Piper is going to play a big role in our coxswain group this fall," said head coach Chase Graham. "She gathered some great experience at Maritime Rowing Club and Row America Rye - both national championship level programs in the USA. She seeks out challenges to improve herself so she can be better for her teammates and perform at her best. I'm excited to work with her and watch her develop among this great class. Pony Up!"
 
CHOOSING SMU: Bittner loves the team dynamic and coaches at SMU. The first time she visited, SMU felt like home and the team welcomed her with open arms. She is beyond excited to contribute to the team and compete at the collegiate level.
