Biography
2023-24 (Senior): Averaged 11.3 points on 53.1% shooting from the field (2nd AAC), 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1 steal, and 1.7 blocks per game (1st AAC, 47th nationally)... Blocked 50 shots (1st AAC)... Tallied five double-doubles… Posted double-digit points 20 times… Averaged 12.8 points and 6.8 boards over the last nine regular season contests, including 21 points and a career-high five steals at UNT on Feb. 10….Named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Dec. 26 following back-to-back double-doubles to close out non-conference play.
2022-23 (Junior): Averaged 5.8 minutes per game over nine games… Totaled 28 points and 14 rebounds… Scored a career-high nine points, and recorded two rebounds while shooting 100% (4-4) from the field against Little Rock (3/16).
2021-22 (Sophomore): Played in one game before suffering a season-ending knee injury…Scored eight points with four rebounds…Was 4-of-5 from the field…Also had one assist, one block and one steal.
2020-21 (Freshman): At Notre Dame, Abdur-Rahim played in eight games, scoring eight points on 4-of-10 shots from the field. She also grabbed nine rebounds with three assists, one block and one steal while averaging 5.7 minutes.
High School: A Marietta, Georgia, native, Abdur-Rahim was a 2020 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State selection, and an Atlanta Journal Constitution Class A Private All-State Honorable Mention at St. Francis High School. She also earned All-Metro First Team honors in the North Fulton district after averaging 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks during her senior season. The forward shot 60.1 percent from the field during the campaign, while leading the Knights to a runner-up finish in the state championship tournament. As a junior, Abdur-Rahim was named to the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 and averaged 12.8 points per game before an injury cut her season short. During her sophomore season, she scored 9.5 points per game to lead St. Francis to the semifinals of the state tournament, finishing with a 26-5 record. She also was a member of the track team, running the 200-, 400- and 800-meter relays as well as competing in the high jump and triple jump.
Personal: She is the 11th of 13 children and the sister of Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who played 13 seasons in the NBA and averaged 18.1 points per game. Shareef is currently the President of the NBA G League.
