Biography
2021-22 (Graduate): Played in 28 games with 23 starts…Averaged 4.4 points and 4.8 rebounds…Scored a career-high 20 points in the season opener against Kansas City, making 9-of-12 field goals…Scored 10 points at Cincinnati (2/9)…Grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds against Houston (2/6)…Shot a team-best 42.6 percent from the field among players with at least 100 attempts…Also had 24 assists, 12 blocks and 26 steals.
Prior to SMU:
Danielle Sanderlin played in seven games at UMass during the 2020-21 season after playing three years at Canisius. Transferring after an All-MAAC season at Canisius, Sanderlin shot 41 percent from the field at UMass.
As a junior at Canisius, Sanderlin started 29 of 30 games played and averaged 15.8 points and 8.3 rebounds to earn third-team all-conference honors. She posted six double-doubles during the season and scored a career-high 30 points.
During her sophomore season, Sanderlin missed eight games due to injury, but played in 22 games with 17 starts, averaging 7.8 points and 8.0 rebounds. She played in 27 games as a freshman with one double-double.
