2019-20 (Junior): Saw action in 22 games, averaging 9.4 minutes…Scored 30 points with a season-high six against Cincinnati (2/8)…Scored in 12 games…Grabbed 32 rebounds with a season-high five in the conference tournament against Memphis (3/6)…Went 12-of-14 on free throws (.857)…Also had 11 blocks and six steals.
Florence Tshimanga, whose father played professional basketball in his native Democratic Republic of Congo, was a three-time all-star at the MacDuffie School in Massachusetts. A native of Montreal, the 6-3 center signed with Grand Canyon University, playing in eight games as a freshman during the 2017-18 season. She averaged 9.4 points with 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks as a senior at the MacDuffie School, and graduated with maximum honors.
