2021 (SR): Named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week (Week 13)...Selected to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll once...Eclipsed 1,000 career digs on on Nov. 19 against Tulane...Led the Mustangs with 453 digs (4.19 digs-per-set)...Team-leader with 538 total receptions...Notched a .950 reception percentage...Had a season-high 30 digs at Tulane (Oct. 17)...Reached double-digit digs in 24 matches.

2020 (JR): American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team...Led the team with 214 digs (3.75 digs per set), which was the 12th best mark in league play...Recorded 32 assists...Notched 17 service aces, which ranked 12th in the American...Recorded a career-high 36 digs against Texas Tech (3/19)...Eclipsed double-digit digs in 13 matches.

2019 (SO): Had 175 digs in 82 sets played…Tallied a career-high 18 digs against Tulane (11/15)…Had 10 or more digs seven times, including six conference matches…Recorded 15 digs at Memphis (11/1), sparking a stretch of six straight double-digit performances…Also had 14 assists and five service aces.

2018 (FR): Played in all 28 matches with action in 108 of 110 sets in the back row…Recorded 231 digs as a defensive specialist…Also tallied 35 assists...Tied for second on the team with 18 service aces…Recorded a season-high 23 digs in four sets at then-No. 25 UCF (10/28)…Had at least 10 digs in eight matches…Scored three aces in home matches against Arkansas State (8/31) and against Wichita State (10/19).

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner at Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas. She earned first-team all-district and academic all-district honors in each of her four seasons. As a senior, she was named district Defensive Player of the Year, and she earned district Newcomer of the Year accolades as a freshman in 2014. She recorded over 1,000 digs during four seasons at Dulles High School and averaged over two kills per set. As a libero, Merchant helped lead the Houston Juniors 18 Elite team to the 2017 national championship.
