The No. 21 SMU men's swimming & diving team finished ninth with 135 points at the Texas Invite in Austin, Texas.
In Sunday's final day of competition, the Mustangs were led by senior All-American Matt Weghorst who partially qualified in the finals of the 100 free, touching in with a time of 44.91.
Diver Beau Sydes finished sixth in the men's platform diving competition, tallying a final score of 406.5.
The duo of Tim Carlson and Michael Jacobsson finished 18th and 19th, respectively, in the 200 breast. Captain Chris Epp finished with a time of 1:49.51 in the 200 butterfly for a 17th place showing as well.
Texas won the event with 669 points.
SMU will next be in action Saturday, January 12 when they host Arizona at Perkins Natatorium beginning at 4:00 PM.
