Women's Soccer Hosts Houston on Friday, Rice on Sunday

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team closes out its six-game homestand this weekend with two critical Conference USA games. On Friday, the Mustangs (7-3-1, 1-0 C-USA) face the Houston Cougars (6-3-1, 1-1 C-USA). Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. SMU then takes on Rice (6-4, 2-0 C-USA) Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Both games will be played at Westcott Field on the campus of SMU. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. SMU students, faculty and staff are admitted free with the presentation of a current SMU identification card.
Sophomore Kimber Bailey continues to be SMU's leading scorer with 11 goals and two assists through 10 games. She has matched her 2004 season total of 11 goals and has already surpassed her shot total of last season (29 shots) - Kimber totals 46 shots to date. In this week's statistics, Kimber was ranked seventh in the nation in goals per game and 13th in points per game.
Combined with her sister, Krystal, the Bailey sisters have scored 70.8% of SMU's goals this season (17 out of 24).
Only four Mustangs have started in all 11 games this season. They include sophomore Autumn Browning, juniors Susanne Collins and Morgan Field and freshman Ashley Gunter.
