TUNICA, Miss. (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team posted its first win of the season on Tuesday, winning the University Club Intercollegiate at the Tunica National Golf Course. The Mustangs had rounds of 300, 302 and 303 to finish two shots ahead of runner-up Belmont.
SMU standout Will Dodson (76-74-73-223) led the Mustangs, tying for fourth. Wes Homan (72-82-76-230) also had a strong tournament, tying for 18th. Colt Knost (78-72-81-231) and Scott Sikes (74-79-78-231) tied for 22nd. Brandon DeStefano (81-77-76-234) rounded out the SMU group in a 35th-place tie.
The event was SMU's last team tournament of the fall. Dodson will compete in the All-American Classic as an individual Nov 23-24 in El Paso.
