Ames, Iowa - The SMU women's track and field squad completed day one competition at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa. Almost 2,000 athletes at the ISU Classic hosted by Iowa State University on Friday and Saturday at the Lied Recreation Center are competing in this year's event.

Tangela Feemster ran a time of 27.82 in the 200-meter dash. In the 5000-meter run, Rachael Forish posted a time of 17:21.40 - good for 17th place. Teammate Sierra Anderson recorded a mark of 18:39.24 in the same event. In the 60-meter hurdles, Nnenna Ejesieme posted a time of 9.57 seconds. The Mustang women's distance medley team placed eighth with a time of 12:00.13.
