DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- The Mustangs are split between the West Coast and their home state this weekend as they compete across three meets. Distance athletes are competing at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, while jumps, sprints and multis are competing at Texas Relays and Texas State's Bobcat Invitational. 

The Mustangs will begin competing in Texas on Thursday with the meets concluding on Saturday. Those at Stanford will compete on Friday and Saturday. 

This is the second competition weekend of SMU's 2026 Outdoor Track and Field season after a strong first showing at the TCU Alumni Invitational in March where multiple Mustangs added their names to the SMU record books. This weekend will provide a competitive environment for the Mustangs to continue to work towards their goals this season.
