BRYAN, Texas (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team carded a final-round 299 to take fifth place at the Aggie Invitational at the 7,235-yard, par-72 Traditions Golf Club. As a team, SMU finished at 899 to best rival and 12th-ranked Baylor (T-6th/909), while placing well in the loaded 12-team field.

Individually, Colt Knost (75-74-76) and Brandon DeStefano (74-77-74) tied for 15th at 9-over 225. Will Dodson (72-81-73) was one shot back of Knost and DeStefano in 21st at 10-over 226. Dan Kleckner (81-75-76) also scored for SMU in his first varsity team event of the spring, finishing in 39th at 16-over 232. Wes Homan (76-77-80) rounded out the SMU squad in 44th at 17-over 233.

Up next for SMU are the Conference USA Championships, April 24-26, at Old Waverly in West Point, Miss.
