DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's rowing team took two victories over Alabama this morning on the Mustangs home course at White Rock Lake. SMU won the varsity eight and second varsity eight.

The second varsity eight surged past Alabama for first-place with a time of 7:19.37 while the varsity eight crew dominated Alabama with a time of 6:57.44. The novice eight finished third with a time of 8:02.40 while the varsity four placed second with a time of 8:29.42.

The Mustangs will compete in the Knecht Cup next in Camden, N.J. on April 14-15.
