SMU rowing heads to Florida for the Sarasota 2K, its first competitive meet of the 2026 season. Rowing action starts at 2:20 p.m. ET on Friday and runs through Saturday.
 
SARASOTA 2K
The competition will take place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. The Mustangs have competed there every year since 2023 at the Big Ten Invite.
 
THE FIELD
The field includes Drexel, Tulsa, Dartmouth, Boston College, High Point, Old Dominion, Jacksonville, UCF, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan State, Miami, Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia, Albany, UMass, UNC.

DOOLEY NAMED TO WATCH LIST
Sophia Dooley was named to the ACC 2026 Preseason Watch List by the conference. The Watch List includes one student-athlete from each program, nominated by their respective schools. The ACC is the only conference that has a preseason rowing watch list.
 
NEXT UP
For the team's second competitive competition of the spring, the Mustangs will race at the UCF Invite, April 17-18, in Orlando. After Orlando, the Mustangs take on the Lake Wheeler Invitational hosted by Duke, April 23-25. The Mustangs head to the ACC Championship May 15-16 followed by the NCAA Championship May 29 to June 1.
