SMU Volleyball Presents Dig Pink

DALLAS (SMU)-SMU volleyball presents the Dig Pink event in their effort to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. The event will take place during Sunday's match against Rice at 1 p.m. in Moody Coliseum and is sponsored by Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
With an estimated 240,000 women diagnosed with noninvasive or invasive breast cancer in the US each year, it is the most common cancer in women, except for cancers of the skin. Although much less common, men can also develop breast cancer. It is important for people to be aware of the severity of the disease, as well as how to detect and treat it.
For the 2008 National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally, fans in attendance at Sunday's match will receive free rally towels and cheer cards upon entrance. Additionally, fans who wear pink will be given 50% off admission. For more information on Dig Pink, visit smumustangs.com or call (214) SMU-GAME.
