DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team opens up the Conference USA portion of the season this weekend when the Mustangs host Colorado College at 7 p.m. Friday night and UTEP at 2 p.m. Sunday in a game that will be broadcast nationally on CBS College Sports.
The Mustangs (2-5-1) will try to even up their all-time series with Colorado College, which holds a 7-6 series lead against the Ponies, and will try to extend their record against UTEP; SMU has beaten UTEP 12 times in 14 meetings between the schools.
The Ponies are coming off a weekend in which they upset Cal State-Fullerton on its own field. CSF had been nationally ranked the week before, but got shut out at home by the young Mustangs.
