SMU Women Travel To #21 Oklahoma State

SMU Looks To Rebound Against Cowgirls SMU is looking post their first win of the season as they travel in to Stillwater to face the #21 Oklahoma State Cowgirls. This is the second of two straight Friday night road games in the state of Oklahoma, as the Mustangs dropped a 1-0 match to Oral Roberts in Tulsa last week. Next week SMU will host Metroplex foe North Texas in their home opener at Westcott Field. Prior to kickoff of that game, there will be an Alumni Game featuring past SMU women's soccer greats.
SMU against Oklahoma State SMU is 0-2 against the Cowgirls, with both matches coming in the previous two seasons. Both SMU and Oklahoma State have hosted one match apiece in the series. Oklahoma State was ranked each of the previous two matchups, #13 in 2007, and #23 in 2008.

Punctual Peabody Senior Kim Peabody comes into the game having played every minute of SMU's last 18 games dating back to last season and will enter this game having played all of SMU's last 1620 minutes. Peabody was named first-team all-Conference USA in 2008 for her excellent defensive play, and was a Preseason All-Conference selection by the league's coaches.
It's May's Day Sophomore Logan May was named to the Conference USA all-freshman team in 2008 for her excellent season, which saw her tie for the SMU lead in goals. May continued to improve her play through the spring season, finishing with an exclamation point by scoring two and assisting on a third in the dramatic 3-3 tie against current #25 Texas.
We Are The Youth of the Nation SMU started five freshmen against Oral Roberts, and nine players made their SMU debuts in the season opener. The Mustangs played only one senior and three juniors, one of whom is a transfer. Of SMU's 15 players in the opener, 11 were either freshmen or sophomores.
