TULSA, Okla. (SMU) - The men's tennis team fell to No. 34 Tulsa, 4-3 Friday evening at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The No. 71 player in the ITA rankings, Artem Baradach improved to 2-0, as he defeated his opponent Philip Stephens, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Baradach also got a win in his first doubles match of the 2010 season, teaming with Chris Hooshyar, to defeat the Tulsa duo of Grant Ive and Rusty Turpin, 7-5. Newcomer Pablo Perez-Esnaola also improved to 2-0 on the season in singles play, beating Tristan Jackson of Tulsa 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5-0).

The Mustangs will return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, when they take on No. 40 California. Following the match, SMU will wrap up its first weekend of play with a 9 p.m. match against Oral Roberts
