After a week in which the Mustangs pushed league-leading Tulsa to five sets and swept two matches over Memphis, SMU looks to continue its strong play by traveling to face East Carolina and Marshall this weekend. The Mustangs, who are tied for second in Conference USA with a 14-4 record, have the opportunity with two wins to set a program best through 20 matches.

1,000/1,000 CLUB CLOSE TO ACCEPTING A NEW MEMBER:
Junior outside hitter Dana Powell is close to becoming the seventh SMU player to reach 1,000 kills and digs in a career. Powell currently has 981 kills and 968 digs during her career on the Hilltop. Teammate Kathryn Wilkerson, a fellow member of the 1,000/1,000 club, has 1,271 career kills and 1,384 digs.
BECERRA EARNS HONOR:
Kelli Becerra was named Conference USA's Co-Setter of the Week, the league announced this week. The junior guided the Mustangs to two wins over Memphis and forced league-leading Tulsa to five sets by averaging 10.08 assists per set this past week.
MANNING IN THE MIDDLE:
Sophomore Courtney Manning turned in a fabulous week of play for SMU. Manning notched 13 kills in each of the two weekend matches against Memphis, while converting on over .500 of her swings. The middle blocker ranks 16th nationally with 1.34 blocks per set this season.
WILKERSON CLOSES IN ON C-USA RECORD BOOK:
Outside hitter Kathryn Wilkerson is just 18 digs shy of breaking into Conference USA's all-time digs list (top 20). She enters this week's matches with 1,384 digs.
