RICHMOND, Va. (SMU) - SMU finished its spring break trip 0-2 after falling to No. 21 Virginia Tech 5-2. Darren Walsh wrapped up a perfect trip going 2-0 in both singles and doubles.
Walsh beat Patrick Daciek 7-6 (5), 6-2 at the No. 4 singles spot before teaming with Adham el-Effendi to win 8-4 over Sebastien Jacques and Yoann Re,8-4.
Artem Baradach got back on the winning path, beating No. 47 Re in singles 6-4, 6-4.
The Mustangs will now return home for the rest of the regular season, a span which includes 11 matches. The homestand will kickoff on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Cameron at 2 p.m., before facing Prairie View A&M at 6 p.m.
