SMU-Oral Roberts Results

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's tennis team extended its winning streak to two straight Friday, beating Oral Roberts 6-1 at the Turpin Tennis Center on the campus of SMU. Darren Walsh improved his singles streak to five consecutive wins, knocking off Dmitry Suslov 6-1, 6-1.

Earlier in the match Walsh teamed with Adham el-Effendi to beat the duo of Sobolta and Trukshin, 8-1. Prior to the day's action Sobolta and Trukshin had not lost a match in doubles play, winning three straight to open the season.

"I'm really excited about our No. 1 doubles team," head coach Carl Neufeld said. "It's good to see them improve and beat a team that came in previously undefeated."

SMU will return to action March 24 at 5 against TCU. The match will be the fourth of 11 straight at Turpin Tennis Center.
