SMU-Memphis Results 
DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's tennis team once against improved its record to better than .500, going to 7-6 after a 6-1 win over Memphis, Friday at the Turpin Tennis Center.
The Mustangs used a hard fought doubles match to get momentum for the rest of the afternoon. Darren Walsh and Adham el-Effendi won a tiebreaker 9-8 (8-6) over the Memphis team of Jordan Smith and David Henry to win the doubles point for SMU. From there the Mustangs would roll, winning five of six singles points.
Leading the way in singles was Artem Baradach who continued to gain momentum following his victory on Tuesday over No. 7 Dimitar Kutrovsky of Texas. Friday he beat Charlie Ramsey 6-2, 6-0 to improve his singles record to 7-4.
"It was a very hard fought match," head coach Carl Neufeld said. "Memphis is a very solid team and any Conference USA victory is a big one."
SMU will return to action on March 11 against VCU in Richmond, Va.
