Box Score vs. Lipscomb 
DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's soccer team defeated Lipscomb 3-1 at Westcott Field Saturday night to open the SMU Classic. Freshmen led the scoring once again for the Mustangs as Robbie Derschang, Zach Barnes and AJ Corrado each found the back of the net for SMU.
Derschang opened the scoring, netting his first collegiate goal, in just the fourth minute of play. He received a pass from T.J. Nelson and fired a shot from 16 yards out into the far corner of the net.
Barnes tallied the eventual game-winner in the 27th minute for the Mustangs. He chipped the ball in near-post from the edge of the six yard box for his second goal of the season.
AJ Corrado added insurance for the Ponies with his goal in the 85th minute. Corrado collected the ball after a deflection on an SMU free kick from about 18 yards out and buried it in the back of the net for his first career goal.
Senior midfielder Josue Soto collected assists on the goal by Barnes and the goal by Corrado. The assists were Soto's first points of the season.
Lipscomb defender Garret McLaughlin received a red card and was ejected in the 41st minute after elbowing freshman Max Rockwell in the face. Lipscomb played a man down for the remainder of the match.
