OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (SMU) - Emily Carstens was named to the All-Conference USA Team after leading the Mustangs to a victory in the Varsity 8+ Petite Final at the C-USA Championships. The junior from Tulsa, Okla., helped SMU post a time of 7:07.10, defeating Alabama and Kansas.

Carstens was selected to participate in the U.S. National Team Identification Camp in November, and led the Mustangs to the final against Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Invitational in the first event of the spring. She also paced SMU to a victory over Villanova at the San Diego Crew Classic.
