Rachel Nicol Wins 200-meter Breaststroke At Austin Grand Prix

AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) - SMU women's swimmer Rachel Nicol won the 200-meter breaststroke this weekend at the Austin Grand Prix. The sophomore All-American placed first in the event, clocking in with a time of 2:28.79, ahead of Mustang alum Raminta Dvariskyte who was second (2:31.47). Nicol also earned runner-up honors in the 100-meter breaststroke with a mark of 1:09.81.

Sophomore All-America Isabella Arcila placed third in the 100-meter backstroke, touching the wall in 1:02.22.

Sophomore Nathalie Lindborg came in third in the 100-meter freestyle, recording a time of 56.16.

The Mustangs host rival TCU at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Perkins Natatorium.
