PROVIDENCE, R.I. (American/SMU) - Following a 0-1-1 week in non-conference action, SMU men's soccer player Mauro Cichero was honored by the American Athletic Conference as the Offensive Player of the Week.
Cichero, a sophomore forward from Norman, Oklahoma, scored both of the Mustang's two goals in the 4-2 loss to Boston College and registered a team-leading four shots. The forward had an exceptional weekend scoring in just the fifth minute against Harvard to contribute to SMU's two goals in the 2-2 double overtime draw.
Cichero currently leads the American Conference in goals (3), points (8) and is ranked second in shots (16).
