LAST MATCH - ABILENE CHRISTIAN

Mary Wright won the first singles point for the Mustangs winning 6-2, 6-0 and shortly after that Dishkova won her match 6-1, 6-1 to put the Mustangs up 3-0 in the team competition. After an ACU match win to put the team score to 3-1 in SMU's favor Macie Elliott clinched the fourth point and the win for SMU winning her match 7-5, 6-4. Sharapova won her match 7-5, 7-5 and Bulgakova went into a third set super tiebreak that went back and forth but she eventually fell 4-6, 6-4, 13-11.

SCOUTING MCNEESE STATE
McNeese State comes into Friday's matchup with a 3-1 record after dropping their season opener against Baylor then winning their next three matches. Their loss to Baylor was by a final score of 4-3 and their wins came against UTRGV 6-1, Texas State 6-1 and UL-Lafayette 5-1.

Senior Klaudia Gawlik has been on the No. 1 line for the Cowgirls in both singles and doubles all season. She lost her singles match aganist Baylor but has not dropped a singles match yet. In doubles, with her partner, senior Anastasija Trubich she is 1-1 with a match unfinished.

The rest of the singles lineup for McNeese has been consistent with junior Julia Kral at No. 2, freshman Giovanna Fioretti at No. 3, sophomore Hannah Brett at No. 4, sophomore Sarah Jurakova at No. 5 and junior Vivien Borbely at No. 6. The one exception came in their last match against UL-Lafayette when Kral did not compete so the rest of the lineup moved up one line and freshman Charoline Erlandsson went into the No. 6 spot.

SERIES INFO
SMU and McNeese State have only squared off one time previously and that came last season as SMU took the match 6-1 in what was also last season's second match of the year for the Mustangs. Last season, doubles pairs of Wright and Yana Erkeeva along with Bulgakova and Sharapova took doubles matches to win the doubles point for SMU. Wright, Sharapova, Dishkova and Bulgakova each won their singles matches.
