Mustangs Set To Host BYU, North Texas and Rice

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women's tennis team is set to host Metroplex Mania Friday through Monday to open the spring season at the SMU Tennis Complex, Turpin Stadium & Brookshire Family Pavilion.
The Mustangs will compete for the first time in the spring after the fall season that included six tournaments.
"We are excited to start the spring season," head coach Kati Gyulai said. "We had a very productive fall season and we are pleased with the improvement that we made in all areas."
Metroplex Mania is slated to begin with singles play Friday at 1 p.m. The four-day event features three different teams including, BYU, North Texas and Rice.
Friday's schedule consists of one singles match (SMU vs. BYU), while Saturday will feature three doubles and two singles matches. Sunday's schedule will include one doubles and one singles match with the tournament concluding Monday with the final round of doubles and singles.
