Meissner Set For NCAA Norman Regional

DALLAS (SMU) -- Freshman McClure Meissner travels to Norman, Okla., on Monday to play in the NCAA Norman Regional. The newcomer was one of 45 individuals nationally to be advance to postseason play and one of five to head to the Norman Regional.
Meissner begins play at 9:53 a.m. and will be paired with Navy and Prairie View A&M.

Meissner, who is the No. 9-ranked freshman in the country by GolfStat, played in all 10 tournaments and led the Mustangs with a 71.08 scoring average. The freshman logged three top-10 finishes, highlighted by a fifth-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Tournament and a sixth-place finish at the inaugural Trinity Forest Invitational. The San Antonio, Texas, native, finished in the top-20 seven times, five of which came during the spring slate.

THE COURSE:The par-72, 7,452-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club will serve as the site for the NCAA Norman Regional.

FORMAT:Fifty-four holes will be played over three days. All three rounds are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. CT Monday through Wednesday. The low five teams and low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships finals.
