No. 3/4 SMU hits the road for AAC action on Friday when it travels to Tampa for a 7 p.m. CT match with USF (6-2-0) at Corbett Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the American Digital Network, it's the second straight match on ADN that SMU has played.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Mustangs erased a two-goal deficit twice on Sunday to preserve its undefeated streak with a 3-3 draw vs. No. 9 UCF.
Gabriel Costa assisted on a goal and then drew and converted the equalizing penalty.
Garrett McLaughlin scored his ninth goal of the season, the 30th of his career.
GETTING BACK ON TRACKÂ
No. 3/4 SMU heads to Tampa for an AAC match with USF on Saturday, Oct. 11. The Mustangs will look to improve to remain undefeated and move to 2-0-1 in AAC play. Last year the two sides played to a 1-1 draw after 110 minutes of play.

HISTORIC START
The Mustangs are undefeated in their first 10 matches for just third time in program history. Only the 2001 and 1979 teams started hotter. Their nine straight wins to start the year were the most for any AAC team in league history.Â
GOAL DIFFERENTIAL THE DIFFERENCE
SMU's goal differential of 28 is the best in the country. They're the only team in the country ranked in the Top 10 in scoring offense and GAA.Â
PULSE OF THE POLLS
SMU is ranked No. 3 in the country by United Soccer Coaches (10/8). The Mustangs were ranked No. 4 by Top Drawer Soccer (10/7) and No. 2 by College Soccer News (10/7). The Mustangs No. 3 ranking in the United Soccer poll is tied for the highest ranking of any AAC team in history.
CONFERENCE PLAY CONTINUES
The Mustangs started their 2019 conference campaign on September 28 with a 5-1 win at Tulsa. Their second match ended with a 3-3 draw vs. No. 9 UCF. SMU has won at least a share of the regular season AAC title and both postseason tournaments since 2017.
FAST START
The Mustangs have passed the 2010 team for the third best start in school history. SMU is one of nine unbeaten teams nationally. At 9-0-1, the Mustangs are off to the best start in AAC history. The team's best start ever was 21-0-0 in 2001. Current head coach

PROLIFIC OFFENSE
SMU's 34 goals are the second most in the country. The Mustangs have shared the wealth offensively, as 10 different players have scored this year, led by
Garrett McLaughlin's nine goals. SMU leads the nation in shots per game (19.20) and is third in SOG/game (8.20). The team's 10.20 points/game are the second most in the nation and nearly three points/game more than anyone else in the AAC.

SMU earned back-to-back-to-back AAC offensive player of the week honors for the first time since 2015 when McLaughlin won on 9/23 and then Costa repeated with the accolade.
KNOW YOUR FOE
USF is 6-2 this year with an impressive 2-0 win over Louisville. They're 1-0 in conference play after defeating UConn 2-1 on 9/27.
SERIES HISTORY
The Mustangs and Bulls have played nine times before. The Mustangs' only win was a 2OT victory in 2005.
COMING UP
SMU is back at Westcott Field for a match with Memphis, who sits atop the AAC standings early in conference play. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start on Friday. Oct. 18.
