SMU continues its four-game homestand by hosting Abilene Christian on Friday at 7 p.m. The Mustangs improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 at home with a 90-58 win against Hartford on Wednesday.

In the win over Hartford, four Mustangs scored in double figures and two had double-doubles.
Tyson Jolly had 15 points and 11 rebounds while
Feron Hunt scored 16 with 10 rebounds.
Kendric Davis had 16 points and a career-high 8 assists.
Isiaha Mike just missed a double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds. The Mustangs had a 46-27 rebound advantage, the second-best of the season, and held Hartford to 37.0% shooting, the fifth straight opponent under 40%.

This is the final game of the Southwestern Showdown presented by Engage Telehealth. The Mustangs have won their first three games, winning 80-63 versus Jackson State, 72-68 at UNLV and 90-58 against Hartford.

Kendric Davis had team highs of 21 points and nine rebounds in his SMU debut after getting news on Friday that his NCAA waiver was approved.
Feron Hunt had a career-high 19 points in the road win and was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in last week's road wins.

Ethan Chargois added nine points with nine rebounds as the Mustangs won their 33rd straight home nonconference game. Northwestern State took an early lead. SMU's
Feron Hunt drove for a layup with 11:25 left in the first half to give the Mustangs their first lead at 12-11 and SMU took a 34-29 advantage into the break. Whitt opened the second half with a 3-point play and Chargois followed with a trey for a 40-31 lead and the Mustangs gradually pulled away. The Mustangs had 32 points in the paint, compared to 18 for Northwestern State. Ishmael Lane had 24 points and 13 rebounds for Northwestern State (1-1). Lane also recorded two blocks and two steals.

HEAD COACH TIM JANKOVICH... is in his fourth season at the helm at SMU after four seasons as the associate head coach. He is in his 37th season as a collegiate coach, and his 15th as a head coach. As a head coach, he is 234-159 (.595) [77-38 at SMU (.670), including 52-13 at Moody Coliseum (started 36-0, second best in NCAA history)]. That includes a 104-64 mark at ISU where his teams recorded four top-three finishes in the Missouri Valley, reached the conference tournament final three times and earned four NIT bids. As an assistant or head coach, his teams are 628-375 (.626) with six regular season conference championships, four league tournament titles, nine NCAA Tournament appearances and eight NIT bids. This is his 12th season as the leader of a Division I program, including five as head coach at Illinois State (2007-12) and four at North Texas (1993-97). The 2017-18 Mustangs started 13-6 with three wins over ranked opponents, topping No. 2 Arizona in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, No. 14 USC at Moody Coliseum and No. 7 Wichita State on the road.
