SMU To Host 5th Annual Winter ID Camp

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's soccer team will host its fifth annual Winter ID Camp Jan. 18-19, 2020. The camp is designed for players who are seriously interested in playing collegiate soccer at the highest level.
The SMU coaching staff will run all sessions and games during the two-day camp. Campers will get to experience the same training exercises and coaching that student-athletes receive at SMU's first class facilities, including Westcott Field.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the college recruiting process. The SMU coaching staff will hold a discussion panel to answer any questions regarding the process. The goal of the Winter ID Camp is to give each camper the opportunity and tools needed to play collegiate soccer at the highest level.
Additionally, college coaches from around the region will be invited to attend and evaluate potential recruits at the camp. Teams invited include some of the best NCAA Division I, II, and III programs in the country.
Enrollment is open to boys in grades 11 and up. Specific goalkeeper training will also be offered. Space is limited. Register at earliest convenience to ensure a position.

Per NCAA rules, all sports camps and clinics conducted by SMU are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions specified by each camp.

- Meals:Â Meals will on your own. Breaks will be built into the schedule to allow you to visit a number of local restaurants. (List provided upon request)
- Lodging:Â Campers must make their own arrangements for lodging. Nearby hotels include the Magnolia Hotel Dallas Park Cities and the DoubleTree Hotel Campbell Center. Several other hotel options are also located near campus.
- Camp Store:Â The SMU Camp store will be open throughout camp offering campers an opportunity to purchase SMU Soccer apparel, light snacks and beverages.

- Lost and Found:Â The camp lost and found will be located at the camp store. All campers are encouraged to write their name in a highly visible location on their items as the camp cannot assume responsibility for any lost items.
- Refund Policy:Â There will be a $75 non-refund fee for all camp registrations. No refunds available within ten days of the start of camp.
- Payment:Â Camp registration will take place online only and tuition must be paid in full. Walk-up registration (first day of camp) will not be offered.

Saturday, January 18, 2020- 12:00-12:30 pm – Check-In
- 1:00-2:30 pm – Training
- 2:30-3:30 pm – Small Sided Games (6v6)
- 3:30-5:30 pm – Dinner on own
- 5:30-9:00 pm – Games (11v11) *Campers will play in one of three 60-minute evening games*
- Game One: 5:30-6:40 pm
- Game Two: 6:40-7:50 pm
- Game Three: 7:50-9:00 pm
- 8:00-9:00 am – College Talk
- 9:00 am-12:30 pm – Games (11v11) *Campers will play in one of three 60-minute morning games*
- Game One: 9:00-10:10 am
- Game Two: 10:10-11:20 am
- Game Three: 11:20 am-12:30 pm
- 12:30 pm – Closing Remarks
