DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU rowing team begins its spring season Saturday and Sunday in New Braunfels, Texas. The Mustangs will compete against Iowa and recently-added American Athletic Conference member Old Dominion in two days of competition.

The event will feature several short races, serving as a tune-up before the championship season. The Mustangs have not competed since the end of the long-distance regatta season against Tulsa on Nov. 3. SMU also raced at the Head of the Oklahoma in September.

The Mustangs first official competition of the spring season is March 24 at the Cooper Sprints on the Cooper River in New Jersey.
