RICHMOND, Va. (SMU) – Felicity Passon led the Mustangs with a Consolation Final appearance in the 200-meter backstroke on the final night of the TYR Pro Swim Series at Richmond. It was one of two finals for the sophomore Saturday night, who also competed in 100-meter freestyle finals.

Passon qualified for the 200 back final as the 20th seed and improved to 14th overall, sixth in the final, with a time of 2:18.68. She also competed in the C Final of the 100 free to close the event, and finished sixth.

Erin Trahan competed in two finals as well on Saturday, the 200 IM and 100 free. Trahan was 20th overall in the 200 IM (2:23.34) and 30th in the 100 free (59.40).

Gabi Grobler (200 back, 2:23.35) and Andrea Podmanikova (50 breast, 33.93), competed in Bonus Finals, both finishing 20th overall in their respective events. Grobler climbed nine spots and dropped over three seconds from her morning swim.

The four-day event featured over 450 athletes from around the globe, highlighted by 41 National Team athletes and 33 professional athletes, including Olympic, World and National Champions.
