DALLAS (SMU) – No. 25 SMU suffered its first loss of the season to cross-town rival [RV] TCU in a 1-0 final on Sunday night.
The Mustangs (3-1-0) held their own throughout the contest, outshooting the Horned Frogs (3-1-0) 16 to seven with eight of SMU's and three of TCU's being on goal.
After a scoreless first half, TCU found the back of the net in the 56
th minute when freshman Grace Brian scored on a pass from senior Tara Smith to take the lead.
