Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (SMU) – The SMU volleyball team finished as a tournament runner-up for the second time this season, losing to Weber State in the championship match of the MSU Fall Invitational Saturday.

The Mustangs (6-2) earned the opportunity to compete for the title with wins against (RV) Dayton and host Missouri State Friday. Rachel Woulfe led the Mustangs with 12 kills to finish the weekend with a team-high 4.33 per set. The sophomore hit .411 overall, and her .308 attack percentage Saturday was her lowest in the tournament.

Hannah Jacobs finished 11 kills to extend her double-digit streak to eight matches, scoring at least 10 in every match this season. Lily Heim recorded a second straight double-double and her sixth of the season with 29 assists and 13 digs. Montana Watts matched the setter with a team-high 13 digs.

Weber State (6-2) recorded 12 blocks in the match, and hit .320 in the 3-0 win. The Mustangs return to Moody Coliseum to host TCU Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
