DALLAS (SMU) – SMU kicks off the spring season by hosting the Metroplex Mania, which features five total teams competing at the SMU Tennis Complex. The Mustangs will serve host to Denver, North Texas, Wake Forest and Wisconsin. Wake Forest finished the 2019 season with a ranking of 23, while Wisconsin ended at 39 and Denver at 45.

Isabella Tcherkes Zade have started their Mustang careers with a record of 12-3 as a doubles duo. The pair won their doubles draw at the SMU Fall Invitational, three dual matchups at the Red and Blue Challenge and advanced to the semifinals at ITA Texas Regionals.
- The Mustangs won eight of the nine doubles matchups at the SMU Red and Blue Challenge, playing against UT Arlington, Central Arkansas and Northwestern State.
ORACLE PRO SERIES 25K

Jackie Nylander andÂ
Isabella Tcherkes Zade both earned wild cards to compete in the Oracle Pro Series 25K held at the SMU Tennis Complex in October.
-In singles, the two both won their first match in the qualifying draw, but fell short of securing a spot in the main draw.
-The two paired up in the doubles draw and advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to a duo from New Zealand and Canada.

UP NEXT
The Mustangs will begin their dual match campaign at Abilene Christian University on January 19 at 3 p.m. The home-opener for SMU will be a double-header on February 1 as the team takes on Colorado State at 11:30 a.m. and McNeese at 5:30 p.m.
