BATON ROUGE, La. (SMU) - SMU men's tennis fell to LSU, 4-0, at the LSU Tennis Complex on Saturday.

LSU jumped out to an early doubles advantage before the Mustangs rallied with breaks on all three courts. LSU punched back getting wins on No. 2 and No. 3.

Carles Sarrio were trailing the 36
th-ranked doubles pairing when the Tigers won the point.

LSU took five of the first sets to control a commanding lead.

Jordi Redelijk dropped his match to Tomas Descarrega on No. 5, 6-2, 6-2 to fall behind 0-2.

Ethan Leon was matched up with a nationally-ranked opponent, No. 51 Boris Kozlov on No. 3. The freshman would finish on the wrong end of a 6-2, 6-1.

The Tigers clinched as
Gardiner Perotti dropped a two-setter, Â 6-1, 6-2, to Joey Thomas on line six.Â

Caleb Chakravarthi won his first set on line one and was up 4-3 at the time of clinch. Â
Carles Sarrio lost a lengthy first-set tiebreaker, 12-10, before taking a 2-1 led into the second when the match expired.

The Mustangs fall to 8-3 on the season while the Tigers improve to 6-2.

SMU plays the back half of its Louisiana road trip on Sunday against Tulane. Along with the women's team, the Mustangs face the Green Wave at noon with the time subject to change due to inclement weather.
