The action from Notre Dame's Loftus Sports Center begins on Friday at 3 p.m. CT. The Mustangs are fresh off the Houston G5 that saw the program post two conference leading times, set a school record and meet record, and post 19 personal bests.
Saturday's track action will be broadcast live on the ACC Network. Coverage begins at 2:05 p.m. with the 60 M hurdle finals and concludes at 4:05 p.m.
Â
FRANCIS BRAKES SCHOOL, CONFERENCE RECORD
Francis posted the 3rd-best time in the NCAA this season in the 60m final at the G5 Invite with a time of 7.17. In the process, Francis broke her own school and conference record. Francis has finished in first in every race she has been a part of during the 2020 season. The reigning conference champ in the 60m, Francis was named Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time in her career after the performance. In Indiana, Francis will look to put up a significant time in the 200m as well.
Â
IWUAMADI TOPS CONFERENCE WITH 400 TIME
Sophomore standout Chika Iwuamadi easily won the 400m at the G5 Invite. Iwuamadi cruised to a first-place finish with a time of 53.62, over a half second faster than the next best time. The sophomore also broke the meet record of 53.68 set back in 1998. Iwuamadi's time was 0.01 off the school record-setting time she posted in her freshman season. 53.62 puts her 17th in the NCAA after Friday, just outside of a qualifying spot. She'll look to improve that time during her trip to the Meyo Invite.
SMU 4x400 REMAINS PERFECT ON THE SEASON
The 4x400 of team of Whitney Williams, Chika Iwuamadi, Chelsea Francis and Annette Bolomboy recorded the second best time in the conference and second fastest time in program history over the weekend.  The leading SMU squad has placed first at both the Hilton Invite and G5 Invite.  Â
