BOX SCORE SEASON STATS
NORFOLK, Va. (SMU) – SMU men's tennis defeated Nebraska, 4-3, on Saturday at ODU's Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center to improve to 8-2 on the season.
"We somehow managed to go 1-0 on the day," said head coach
Grant Chen. "It certainly wasn't pretty, especially with some injuries but the team rallied and we fought hard at certain spots to get the win. Huntley (Allen) deserves a lot of credit as he played with tremendous energy in singles and doubles victories today. Our freshmen gained some valuable playing experience and we will all grow and learn from this. Time to head home to get ready for our road trip with the women's team to Tulane/LSU."
With the win the Mustangs improve to 8-2 on the season. The Mustangs split their Virginia swing after a tough 4-3 defeat at the hands of Old Dominion on Friday.
