Hardigree Posts NCAA Zone Qualifying Mark; Feehery Notches Two NCAA B-Cuts on Friday

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's swimming and diving team completed the first day of action at the SMU Classic on Friday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.

Parker Hardigree started his senior year off in style. Hardigree finished first in the 3-meter diving competition and hit a NCAA Zone mark with a score of 360.25.
 
Colin Feehery hit a NCAA B cut in the 400-yard IM finishing in a time of 3:49.76 and gathered fifth in the A-Final. Feehery also put together a NCAA B-cut in the 100-yard breaststroke touching the wall at the 53.73 mark. This marks the fifth and sixth B-cuts of his career.
 
Davis Edwards competed in the 400-yard IM coming away with a time of 3:59.29 in his first event as a Mustang. Two other Mustangs made their NCAA debuts on the day. Russell Exum began his collegiate career by completing the 100-yard butterfly with a fourth-place finish (48.08). Cotton Fields made his SMU debut in the 100-yard butterfly coming away with a time of 49.11.
 
Tyler Mansheim took sixth place in the 200-yard Freestyle A-Final, while Exum gathered a time of 1:38.86 in the same race.
 
Bruns got back into rhythm today after finishing fourth in the 50 Yard Freestyle (20.14) and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (48.47).
 
The 400 Yard Medley Relay team consisting of Bruns, Connor Dalbo, Mansheim, and Elijah Sohn touched the wall at the 3:15.59 mark.
 
Michigan leads the competition with a score of 168 while Louisville and Missouri sit in second and third place, respectively. SMU currently is in fifth place with 119.5 points.
