IRVING, Texas (AAC/SMU) – Sophomore Hadley Doyle was named American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week after her ranked win against LSU.
 
Doyle defeated No. 83 Safiya Carrington of LSU in straight sets on Saturday, 6-2, 6-3 for her first ranked win as a Mustang. It was Doyle's team-high fifth dual match singles victory during the season. The sophomore's earned wins at each of the top three lines.
 
Doyle and her partner Winslow Huth were also one game away from winning their line three doubles match when the doubles point was clinched. Doyle has two doubles wins this season, both with Nicole Petchey.

The sophomore is in her first season as a Mustang after transferring from Tennessee. Doyle posted a 10-3 singles record with the Vols and registered her first career ranked win when she took down No. 124 Kelsey Mize of Ole Miss.
 
The Mustangs return to the court on Monday Feb. 13 for a doubleheader with Northwestern State and UT Arlington. Matches are slated for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
