PALM CITY, Fla. – Fresh off a 27-shot victory at the Trinity Forest Invitational, No. 10 SMU heads to the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, March 15-16 at Floridian National Golf Club. The tournament features six of the top-10 men's golf teams in the nation.

In addition to the Mustangs, No. 1 Florida State, No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 4 Pepperdine, No. 7 Arizona State and No. 9 Clemson comprise the top-10 ranked teams in the field. Top-50 squads USF, Houston and Duke join the 11-team field, in addition to Marquette and Ohio State.

SMU is led by American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, Noah Goodwin. Goodwin finished solo-second at the Trinity Forest Invitational at -6, and is the Mustangs' season-leader in stroke average at 71.00.

Mac Meissner was solo-third at Trinity Forest, and has finished no worse than T12th in three events this season. Meissner and Goodwin were two of the four golfers in the field to shot at least even par all three rounds in the Mustangs' home event, as Meissner finished at -4.

Ollie Osborne and Nathan Petronzio tied for fourth in the event, giving SMU four of the top five finishers in the event. It was a career-best finish for Petronzio, a freshman, and a season-best finish for Osborne, who ended up at -3.

Prescott Butler rounds out the SMU lineup at the par 71 / 7,114-yard course for this event, after posting a T28th at Trinity Forest at +9. Butler has two top-30 finishes this season for SMU. Â
