GREENSBORO, N.C. (SMU) – Parker Hardigree turned in a 19th-place finish to lead the Mustangs on 1 meter at the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event is being held at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.

This is the first of two events the junior will compete in at the Championships, with 3 meter scheduled for Friday.

Hardigree put together a six-round 298.15 to tie for 19th in the 46-diver field. It was his first action at a National Championship.

The top 16 divers advanced to event finals, with the top eight competing in the evening's Championship Final.

Teammate Peter Smithson also represented the Mustangs in the event, placing 41st with a 240.10 in his first NCAA competition.

Smithson will also compete on 3 meter tomorrow, as well as platform on Saturday.

Friday 3-meter preliminaries begin at approximately 11 a.m. CT.

Caleb Rhodenbaugh will see his first action in the pool Friday, as he competes in the 100-yard breaststroke. Heats begin at 9 a.m. The senior is seeded 38th in the event.
