DALLAS – SMU Men's Tennis players
Liam Krall,
Ivan Thamma, and
Adam Neff will join captain
Caleb Chakravarthi in competing in the 2022 Dallas Open. All four Mustangs will be making their debuts on the ATP Tour. The tournament is scheduled for February 6-13 and will take place at SMU's Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.
The senior, sophomore team of Thamma and Neff will be competing in the doubles main draw. The pair are currently 8-4 overall playing together this season. Krall, on the other hand, will take part in the singles competition along with Chakravarthi. The sophomore has been invited to compete in singles qualifying. Krall has posted impressive stats over the course of his first year and a half with the Mustangs, going 26-13 in singles, winning 2021 AAC Freshman of the Year, and taking the singles championship at the 2021 Lakes Collegiate Invitational.
Krall will be competing in Dallas Open qualifying on Sunday, February 6
th. Thamma and Neff will be in the doubles main draw and will play on Monday, February 7th. Chakravarthi has been invited to the singles main draw and will be headlining the tournament's College Night on Tuesday, February 8
th.

Liam Krall and Adam and Ivan in doubles is just incredible, and it's a moment they're going to remember for the rest of their lives. Hopefully it will be a great platform for them to get a little taste of professional tennis at the highest level and see where their games are at. We're looking forward to an incredible week of the Dallas Open with our college match on Sunday February 13
th at 9 A.M. against Corpus Christi, but also to see four of our players have the opportunity to compete in the singles and doubles fields."
