The SMU men's swimming and diving team are set to face off with No. 23 Texas A&M this Friday in College Station. Competition will begin from A&M's Rec Center Natatorium at 5 p.m. CT. Live streaming is available on Watch ESPN.

Fall Recap
The Mustangs decisively beat Incarnate Word and Oklahoma Christian in a double dual meet in late October. SMU backed this performance up with a first-place finish in the SMU Invite just a few weeks later. Competing in the invitational were Drury, Fresno State, and Hawaii.

Scouting Report
Texas A&M comes into the meet with a current dual meet record of 3-1. Their only loss came against the top-ranked Texas Longhorns. The Aggies finished 4th place at the SMU Classic back in October. They also added a 2nd place result at their own Art Adamson Invitational. They are currently ranked No. 23 in the nation, after entering the season at No. 16.

Conference Favorites
Colin Feehery, Dominic Hoefer, Jack Easton, and Tyler Coffey swept the fall American Athletic Conference Weekly honors for the Mustangs.
Easton was a force for SMU during the SMU Invitational on Nov. 18-20 in Dallas, taking home two individual wins along with a facility and program record.
Feehery helped lead Mustang swimmers in a 2-1 dual-meet weekend, winning four individual events and posting three NCAA B cuts.
On the diving side, Hoefer registered an event win, two runner-up performances and came in above the NCAA Zone qualifying mark in all four events competed on the weekend.
Coffey enjoyed a podium showing in a pair of events during the SMU Invitational.

Daniel Forndal won Most Outstanding Swimmer, Peter Smithson won Most Outstanding Diver, Lance Butler was named the Freshman of the Year and the staff swept diving and overall Staff of the Year honors.

All-American Returners
Six members of the SMU men's swimming and diving program earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for their work in the pool and in the classroom following the 2020-21 season. The list includes current Mustangs Parker Hardigree, Connor Dalbo, Jack Easton, Dominic Hoefer and Brayden Rudd.

To be selected as a member of the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team as an individual, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.

Holt Hickman Outdoor Pool Is Coming To The Hilltop
With a $2.5M gift from the Hickman family, SMU will soon break ground for a new eight-lane, 50-meter by 25-yard outdoor pool, with 1- and 3-meter diving boards. The $11M project will also include a 20-foot by 40-foot instructional pool that will be used for lessons and rehab/therapy. The addition of the outdoor pool will complete the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center, making SMU the only University in the country with both indoor and outdoor Olympic pools in one facility, further cementing SMU's swimming and diving facility as one of the finest in college athletics.

American Championships Return to Dallas
For the second consecutive year, SMU will host the American Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. The event is set to take place Feb. 16-19, 2022 at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
