SETTING THE SCENE
•   The Mustangs face USF in the American Athletic Conference semifinals on Thursday in Orlando. The Mustangs advance with a 1-0 win at Cincinnati in the quarterfinal round on Sunday.
•   SMU tied for 5th in the final AAC standings with the No. 2 through No. 6 seeds being separated by just 4 points.
•   SMU fell 1-0 to USF in the first meeting on Sept. 29. The Mustangs are 3-1-2 since that matchup.
•   SMU is 9-3-5 after a 1-0 win at Cincinnati in the AAC quarterfinal on Sunday. SMU has won three straight heading into the semifinal matchup.
•   The SMU defense has allowed just 12 goals this season, holding opponents to one or zero scores in 15 of 17 matches.

•   SMU defeated Cincinnati by a 1-0 count in the AAC quarterfinal on Sunday. The Mustangs scored in the 70th minute when Julissa Cisneros was fouled in the area, resulting in a Courtney Sebazco penalty kick. Sebazco converted to put the Mustangs ahead and earn her fourth goal of the season. SMU earned its seventh clean sheet of the year.
