NEW ORLEANS (SMU) – Led by sophomore Ashley Chow, the SMU women's golf team finished in eighth place in a 17-team field after three rounds at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans. Chow was excellent throughout the weekend, posting a +15 total score and setting her career best individual finish, tied for 17^th place.

Chow cooled off slightly in the final round, but still held her score to single digits at +9 (81). She recorded one birdie on the day, increasing her tournament total to five.

Serena Shah had the next best finish for the Mustangs, finishing tied for 33^rd place individually at +19. Her final round 75 (+3) was her best of the tournament and included three birdies.

Katie James also tacked on three birdies in her final round, posting an 82 (+10) and concluding her tournament at +20.

Kennedy Pedigo got better each day with scores of 87, 77, and 76. She recorded a team high four birdies in the final round and signed off with a +24 for the tournament. Megan Chou came in at +32 overall and Maddi Olson at +34.

North Texas won the tournament at +31, after withstanding a final round comeback from No. 10 Michigan (+39). The Mustangs will be back in action at the GCU Invite in Phoenix, Arizona February 28 through March 1.
