The SMU women's tennis team returns to the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday to host Atlantic 10 opponent VCU, 12 years to the day since the two programs last met.

The Mustangs enter Sunday's match the winners of two straight, following a 2-0 weekend against American Athletic Conference opponents at No. 40 Tulsa and Tulane. The Mustangs have won three of their last four contests, their last loss a 4-2 decision against No. 36 Texas Tech on March 6.

VCU
VCU brings an 11-3 record to Dallas which includes a ten-match win streak that ended on March 4 against No. 26 Iowa State. VCU enters Sunday's match following a 5-2 loss to No. 70 FAU in Boca Raton.

Against FAU, graduate senior Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado and Freshman Laura Garcia Astudillo clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory on court two. With the win, the pair improved to 9-0 on the season, and files in at No. 48, per the ITA Collegiate Tennis National Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.

Line three doubles pairing Nina Sorkin and Freshman Yelizaveta Karlova earned a 6-0 shutout against FAU, marking the duo's third-consecutive win.

Sorkin claimed her tenth consecutive singles victory on court four against FAU in a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over FAU's Greta Schieroni.

All-Time Versus VCU
SMU aims to gain an edge in the all-time series against VCU, which is currently tied at one win apiece. The Mustangs won in their most recent match 4-2, on March 20, 2010. In the inaugural meeting between the two programs, SMU fell at home 4-2 in the 2002-03 season.

Last Time Out
The Mustangs downed Tulane 5-2 in New Orleans on Tuesday, claiming a doubles point off 6-3 and 7-5 respective wins for duos Lexi Keberle/Claudia Bartolome and Nicole Petchey/Lana Mavor.

In singles, Keberle extended her win streak on line one to six straight, with a 6-2, 7-5 win against Tulane's Mackenzie Clark, snapping Clark's five-match win streak and improving to a team-best 10-3.

On court six, Petchey earned her second-consecutive win in a 6-3, 6-2 decision, snapping a three-match win streak for the Tulane opposition and improving to 6-5 in dual singles.

Jackie Nylander defeated Tulane's Kristen Borland 6-4, 7-6 to earn her second-straight win. In the match, Borland was seeking a third-consecutive singles win.

Bartolome defeated Tulane's Adelaide Lavery on court four 6-0, 4-6, 6-1, ending Lavery's three-match win streak.
